A valid NH snowmobile registration is required to ride in New Hampshire.

A NH snowmobile registration is a privilege to ride on approved trails. Please respect the generous landowners and always stay on the designated trails.

How To Register a Snowmobile in NH

To register a snowmobile the owner must:

• Have a valid NHSA voucher in hand to receive the discount.
• Be at least 18 years of age, present a valid driver’s license or accepted non-driver photo ID, and apply in person.
• Provide previous NH snowmobile registration OR the following vehicle information: year of manufacture, make, model, displacement, primary and secondary colors, and VIN.
• Snowmobiles are not titled in NH – no title, bill of sale or previous registration required.
• Resident rate require a valid NH driver’s license or NH photo ID.
• Registration decals shall be affixed to each side of the cowling or the outside of the windshield, clearly visible. Example

How do I get a snowmobile trail map?
The digital NH Sno-Traveler map is the most up-to-date map of NH snowmobile trails. Made by snowmobilers for snowmobilers. Available for iOS and Android. In partnership with local clubs of the association and the NH Bureau of Trails, it is the best resource for snowmobile trail routing. Paper maps are no longer available.

The clubs of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association are the backbone of the organization. They groom and maintain the state snowmobile trail system. Clubs hold monthly meetings, sponsor year-round events, monitor legislation, hold safety workshops, and raise money for charity. They are the best!

Membership in a club and the NHSA are critical to the future of our sport. Snowmobiling on groomed trails is a pay-as-you-play system, membership dues are used by associations throughout the U.S. and Canada to raise the necessary funds to maintain quality trails.

There are 100 clubs to choose from throughout New Hampshire. Membership fees vary from club to club. Pick a club in the area that you will be doing most of your riding.
