Explore scenic vistas and woodlands that few others have access to in the winter. Thrilling trails, spectacular mountain views and relaxing rural countryside are part of the Snowmobile NH experience. Snowmobiling trail-conditions are posted from mid-December through April.

Snowmobile NH Requirements

All you need to snowmobile NH is a state registration. They are available at over 200 locations throughout the state. NH snowmobile club members receive a $30 discount on each registration. Join where you ride, support the clubs that maintain the snowmobile trails, and save a few bucks.

Snowmobile registration fees fund a significant portion of trail maintenance. Your registration dollars directly fund grooming costs, signing, and bridge construction.

NHSA Clubs

The New Hampshire Snowmobile Association is an association of independently incorporated snowmobile clubs. (List of clubs in state) Working together they maintain a state-wide interconnected trail system. Our unified voice speaks for the sport of snowmobiling and to promote it as a safe family recreation. The NHSA is made up of all segments of the snowmobiling community including clubs, members, dealers, and local businesses. Join a club and receive a $30 discount on your snowmobile registration!

Trail Grooming

Over 200 trail groomers maintain the snowmobile trails in New Hampshire. Quality snowmobile NH trail grooming provides smooth trails that are suitable for all levels of riders.

Be aware that grooming takes place at all hours. A groomer travels at an average of only 5-8 mph. Riders must use extreme caution at all times and lookout for groomers and other obstacles. Grooming machines are exceptionally wide and long, you need to give it the right-of-way. Slow down when approaching a groomer. And always be prepared to stop.

Safety is a priority. Learn how to safely operate a snowmobile in New Hampshire. Riders under the age of 18 may be required to take a safety course. We encourage everyone to take a safety course, in the classroom or online. Safety isn’t just for kids. Statistically, middle age adults are involved in the majority of incidents.
